How did we come up with the name Seiner Watches?
After spending a short period of time deciding on our companies name, it was decided that the owner of the company John Lewis Jr. would dedicate the Seiner Watch Company name to his father, who unexpectedly passed away in 2004 on the Purse Seiner Tuna Vessel, the Pacific Princess. John Lewis Sr. spent 38 years at sea working on a Tuna Seiner in the middle of the Pacific Ocean. He spent 32 of his 38 years serving as a Chief Engineer for a tuna fleet which was once considered as one of the largest industries located in San Diego, California USA. The tuna fleet left San Diego in the mid 1980's, and soon the fleet was located all over the world, but primarily in the Western Pacific.
John Lewis Sr. was not just a great father and husband, but a genuine loving person who would do just about anything for anyone.
